Ya sometimes it sucks. Went for my 6 week check up. Doc says everything is looking good and right on schedule. He said patholigy checked the bone scrapings from my hip and on a scale from 1-10 for damage the othr hip did I'm on a 7+ so its a good thing I got it taken care of now to stop any further damage, and some piece of mind.
Ray How are you making out with the car and the move. I hope its all coming together.

Nice to see the car coming along, Wayne. Looks great. On a side note I pushed a disc in my lower back lifting my son into bed three months ago. Getting better, but it's gonna take a year or so to get better, if ever. I definitely feel your pain, lol. Keep getting after the car and letting us dreamers see what's happening.

Thanks rixtrix1 I've gotten to work on it a little. I painted the engine and trans and brought them home so they are at least together in my garage.

I have different valve covers too.

Here is my buddy Spaceman installing the clutch and bell housing.

I spent 2 days in the garage cleaning and prepping the Trans for paint.

Now all I have to do is rewash it and spray it.

I got the trans painted. The humidity was on the high side of good but it came out pretty nice.
Here it is in Etching primer.

      And in paint

      And now with clear

I need to thank my wife with my torn rotator cuff it would have been tuff to move it to my paint stand ( stack of tires ) Thanks Cat!
The only thing I need to remember next time I paint is that I'm not 21 anymore I NEED MORE LIGHTS !

I haven't updated for quite awhile and I made some major changes with the power train. I just got a GM performance connect and cruise LSA/4l85 drive train for the car, it just arrived last Friday so I'm still un packing and check it out. I'll be selling the 454 SBC and Viper 6 spd to put towards getting the car up and running. Here are a few pictures of the kit.

This is as far as I got looking at the motor.

This is the 4l85 good for 685 tq. and the converter 24-2800 stall is in the box

These boxes have all the other parts to install Ecu Tcu Starter , fuel pump harnesses.

The brown box near the white one is a ZL1 supercharger lid.

The snow will never end. . . I haven't even looked at my car in 2 months aside from dragging the snow blower past it to fix the shear pins

      Thanks guys
I'm 17 miles in from the south coast and "hoping"! for a little less then the foot they are calling for. The wind and cold are doing me in I have no ceiling and the heat gets sucked right out as fast as my heater can make it. I got a used 5th gen console to put in the car and it was packed in foam it was so dry in the garage that I looked like a snow man from the static attracting the foam to me. I had to use gloves it was so cold, I spent more time getting the foam off me then unpacking the console.

Hey Wayne, glad to see some progress. Do you still have the trans for sale? I might have an interested party.

I like your decision to change drive trains. I would rather have a manual trans but that deal will be great!

Wayne, I have been gone from the car scene a lot lately. I gave it a break and I painted a few cars. Just getting back into it. Your car has come a long way and looking great.
