Well IMO they were perfectly justified in taping the other teams. They had time in the bag over those cars, they were doing a better job of navigating and getting better range with the fuel. The other teams broke the rules to close the gap that was built through hard work, prep and a bit of luck.

Should they have just let them break the rules and erase the advantage that they had built? If so, how many other rules should they have let other teams break to their detriment?

Yes, very true. That is why it was not so much the action they performed, but the way they lied about what they did. Man up and tell the other teams straight up what went down. IMO, the other teams would have handled the situation better if they had not been lied to.

In all reality, it is not like I am saying I wish the Ford team drives off a burning bridge and plummets to there graves. I am just saying I wished the would have handle a few things better and that I am cheering on the Olds, then the Alsops, then the Ford!

Well, when the Chevy went to pass them and they ended up in what appeared to be a high speed drag race to stay ahead only 1 or 2 episodes earlier, they are hypocrites in my book. The rules state you could speed up to pass. They did. The other teams didn't just blow by and keep on truckin, just passed and sat there. THe lying is what got me the most though. Then to say that they only were trying to get the Honda in trouble, not the Lotus. Why? Because team Honda was Black? Makes me wonder how much "good ole boy" is in 'em.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

I'd like to know more about what this is about.

I love the show and I don't think they should change anything about the show.

I do think that Mike you shouldn't be calling anyone out cause we saw your driving skill in the challenge where you couldn't even get the cars tail to come out and break the glass and you went back for a second attemp and still missed it. LOL!

Just bustin some balls. I had a 96 Camaro SS and I know for sure I never had any problem getting the car to slid out.

How exactly do you reckon that they closed a 5mile gap when the truck did not need to stop, without speeding?

How to slide or "drift" rear end of LS1 F-body:
      1). Turn off ASR
      2). Stomp on the gas
      3). Turn wheel simultaneously

Or, even easier -- pull e-brake

      LOL.

if i remember right on that episode, he even said afterwords that the traction control was still on and that he shoulda turned it off

Stock traction control on a 4th gen is useless for anything but driving in the rain, IMO. The first thing I did whenever I got in my car (as does nearly everyone I know with a 4th gen) is turn it off. If he did forget to turn it off, I can see why he couldn't get the car to slide.

That's why I ordered mine without it. I thought it was a useless option that they forced on everyone.

Umm you are correct about the car sliding issue the car just hooked up. When I turned the wheel and pulled the e-brake the car didnt let go the anti-lock started pumping and whining and the car turned. The BMR suspension with the Qa1 shocks and the sticky Goodyear F-1's did what they were supposed to do. The second pass I tried to throttle thru the glass by sliding sideways under power and the traction control kicked in and there you go another turn. It was funny! I am confident in my ability to drive. Rich and Andre called me out and said that the Olds would kick the T/A's ass in a straight line drag race. I told him not possible. The charger with the bored 440 lined up against Morgan and he punched it on a roll we walked him not even close and they were worried about the Charger? What kind of ride do you have?

Oh yeah! Do not forget that most things you see are edited and cut and spliced pretty well. The show is what they want you to see. Their is a whole lot of crap going on to cause what you see on the episode. As far as the lies I told the brothers it was true however, They dont show the fact that the evening before I gave them some advice and promised them it was good so they took my advice and it saved them from making a big mistake going thru the mountains. Or the fact that they were getting ready to pull all of the front brakes off of the vehicle because they were loosing brake fluid. Well they were claiming that because their was fluid on the inside of that rim it had to be leaking their. I told them no way I reminded them that they had rotated their tires and rims and the rim came from the right rear and helped them pull of the rear drum to expose the real culprit, the leaking brake cylinder to which I helped them with. Before we went on that leg where I misled the brothers they said they would contact me and help me when I called them they acted like they couldnt hear me and I said Ok game on thats when I lied to them that way they knew I knew. When we arrived I told them plainly I lied to them on purpose and that all bets were off. They laughed and said we know. That is why when I saw all that was written on here I got in and placed the comment the way I did to diffuse the situation with out all of the BS. Hell Rich thought it was the shows attorney Matt Laviano... funny stuff because what I put their was the truth and he knew it. RICH I AM COMING TO BOSTON COME UP WITH YOUR BROTHER AND PARTY SATURDAY EVENING!

The other cool thing is that BMR fabrication did some cool things for Team Trans AM. They helped us with parts for the suspension on the T/A after the show. I installed these parts and their Logos are all over the T/A for the real run that starts from Montreal in the morning headed to Boston. The new Torque arm and panhard tightened up the suspension even more what a great piece... So support those people at BMR. Texas speed helped with the fluids for the T/A and MADE did the sound and radar jammers. We will be posting if you all would like on this site during the real Bullrun !

      I love cars!

It's awesome having Mike, Rich and Mike on this board. That's 3 out of the last 4 teams. Now 2 out of 3. All BS aside, sounds like it was quite the experience for everyone and I'm looking forward to the continued posts by all you guys (and Morgan too if she posts). Congrats to Mike and the Charger for making it that far. Bummer about the stuck float. Kid of like aTop Fueler losing 'cause a $2 spring broke. Best of luck to both Team 9 T/A and Team 11 H/O. Can't wait for the rest of us to see how it all plays out.

Mike, just bustin some balls. You should of known to turn the traction control off.

As for my car, I sold my 96 Camaro SS and it was very modified you can see picks here I still have the site up. www.96z28ss.cz28.com
It made 585rwhp when it was finally tuned on the chassis dyno.
I even had a distributor in it.
You'll also see that I had just about everything BMR Fabrication makes on my Camaro.
Now I have a 1969 Camaro twin turbo project.

If I still lived in Massachusetts I'd like to hook up with you and drink some beers.

I gotta ask, with alot of people having navigation problems (...Except Mike A. even though Morgan didn't seem to believe in you....), was there some rule against using GPS? I wouldn't leave home with out mine. But then again I've never drove in a Rally.

Also my wife wants to know if anyone else here thought that the way the Lotus Team bickered back and forth made them come across like a "Frustratedly GAY Odd Couple" (.....her words...).

She said the just needed to kiss and get it over with....and that the cowboy hats did help their "Gay" image either
