How about using that rear truck arm setup that's already under there and doing it nascar style?
Nice project...it's going to make a cool daily driver.1970 RS/SS350 139K on the clock:
89 TPI motor w/ 1pc rear seal coupled to a Viper T56 via Mcleod's modular bellhousing w/ hydraulic T/O bearing from the Viper, 12 bolt rear w/ 3.73 gearing, SC&C upper control arms, factory lowers with Delalums, C5 brakes at all four corners, Front Wheels 17x8's with Sumi 255/40/17 and Rear Wheels 17x9's with Sumi 275/40/17.

I made some more progress tonight. I installed the ridetech StrongArms and air bag, the CPP spindle, rotor, and caliper, and just for fun, I stuck one of the wheels on to see how she looks. Not bad if I say so myself!

Yup...U-bolts have kept the LCAs on there since 1963, so I think they will be just fine. Originally Posted by SicMonte

U bolts hold thr lower arms on my 69 as well.
Hey while your under there, grind the rivets the hold the rear control arm mounts to the crossmember and flip them. It helps a lit, makes it hook better.
I did it to my 69 and it was a good mod!1971 Camaro 427 in waiting

Having been out of town working for the last three weekends in a row has slowed my progress a bit. Yesterday after work, I made time to get the driver side shock installed...
...and the passenger side of the front suspension as well...
On the front I still have to install the ride height sensors, the steering components, and the sway bar. Once that's done I can start removing the bed for the rear install.
