New to the site but I love what you're doing to your truck. I have a 77 GMC Sierra Classic that I love (stepfather was the original owner) and I had thought of doing an air ride suspension on it but I did not want to lose the function of the bed with an air tank. I love how you mounted yours under the bed. I honestly did not know the tanks had gotten that small. I had seen a ridetech display at the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour but did not see it on the 2011. Was it difficult to mount the air tank and run the hoses from between the frame rails? I'll have to revisit the site and look more into this after I finish my 69 Mustang that I plan to set up for pro-touring.

Keep the posts coming I am really enjoying your build.

Oh and I love the shop.

Thanks, glad you like it! I've never had air suspension on a car (I've driven a few) and since I work at Ridetech, I had to have at least one on air! As for the tank, mine will be mounted in the bed at the very front. The original plan was to mount a pair of 3 gallon tanks under the bed on each side of the frame. Since I decided to route my exhaust pipes out the sides, my only option is to put a single 5 gallon tank in the bed. I don't plan to haul much back there so it's not a big deal for me.

Routing the air lines turned out to be one of the easiest parts of this set up. The frame happened to have 1/4" holes spaced about 16" from end to end. I rounted my lines and used those holes for the clamps.

Start a build thread on your Mustang so we can follow along!

I finished mounting the GMPP serpentine system and there's plenty of room between the moving parts and fans. Even though it's not a shiny billet aluminum deal, I think it looks good and it's pretty compact.

The big accomplishment yesterday was getting the 7-speed wiper motor mounted! I was hesitant to cut the factory mount off but finally gave in and I'm glad I did. Now I need to order a wiper switch from JHunter.

Where did you get the wiper motor? Is it application specific?

How about the plate that mounts to the firewall? Any writeups on one of these in a second gen? I am windshield wiper illiterate. I do know that I don't want to spend the money on the DSE setup unless I have to. I am sure it is a nice part, but it seems pricey.

I made the adapter plate. If the firewall was flat where the stock wiper motor was mounted, I could have mounted the modern motor without a plate.

Read this thread about delay wipers before you spend any money: https://www.pro-touring.com/showthre...pers-uncovered

I finally installed the Aeromotive Phantom in-tank pump.

The hardest part was the first step - drilling a 3-1/4" hole in my brand new aluminum tank!

Then the machinist at work made a nice bushing to adapt the original wiper arm to the new motor.

Since the Vintage Air kit requires the removal of the kick panel vent, I decided to use the space for a pair of Kicker speakers.

The A/C and heater lines go through the firewall. The VA kit comes with a block off plate for the passenger side vent so I used that as a pattern to make a speaker panel for each side. If I want fresh air I'll have to open the windows.

awesome build, just went through the entire thread.

All these truck builds are bringing back my passion to do up a truck next. Thanks for the wiper pointers, I may need to use that at some point as well.

The hoses on my El Camino are routed the same way as your Nova.

I fit the Lokar pedals. Since Lokar doesn't have an application for 63-66 C10s, I just used the one for the 67-72 trucks. The brake and clutch pedals fit like they were meant to be there. The gas pedal fits nice on the flat section of firewall next to where the stock pedal goes through the side of the trans tunnel.
