I had something similar to that drawn up but couldn't find someone to make it without charging me an outrageous amount. I started with a hex rod, & was going to have a hole threaded in every other side of the hex at the same height, so it would be shorter than yours. And have the hole tapped at the top & threads put on the bottom.

I didn't realize that you had the Mast oil pan.. I glad i went with the CTS-V oil pan. TnMonteSS your fitting seems cool though..

I'm about ready to switch to the CTS-V pan myself. All the trouble the MAST pan has caused hasn't been worth it.

Had some brackets cut out to strengthen the lower control arm mount points.

Going to weld a plate to the surface where the bolt comes through, then weld these plates in place then add a cap to the outside. I think that will make it plenty strong. I may have to make the outside radius larger, gotta compare it to the location of the mufflers on the car now. Not sure I have enough room.

Good idea, I bought these http://www.tntraceshop.com/1978-1988...01-180201.html before i got the plasma cutter but would have just made them if I had it first.

Take a look at the upper ones too, might be something to think about while you have the frame off.

So with what I have $ wise in the LS2 so far & the price of the trans I was going to get, I can almost buy this:

This chassis will include the following:

      6.0L LS2 ENGINE

      T-56 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION
      3.42 GEAR RATIO REAR DIFFERENTIAL

      Complete front and rear suspensions
      Manual shifter

      Left & right fuel tanks
      Left & right fuel pumps
      Complete OEM exhaust system
      Emission control unit
      Fuel crossover pipe
Anti-lock brake system with booster and module
      Engine computer
      Engine harness
      Transmission harness
      Body harness
      Under hood Harness
      Body control module (BCM)
      Under Hood Fuse Block
      Vin matched key fob
OEM Push Button Electronic Start Ignition Switch
      Air flow meter
      Air cleaner
      Pedals
      Juice Clutch
      Brake lines
      Fuel lines
Steering column with tilt wheel and intermediate shaft
Leather wrapped steering wheel (no air bag)
      Emergency brake handle with cables
      18" OEM C6 Chrome Wheels & Tires
      19" OEM C6 Chrome Wheels & Tires

So if I do that, then my current motor or the one in the chassis will be for sale. I know a ton of work, but how cool!

I don't know for sure until I had parts to measure. From what I found the wheelbase of the Vette & the Monte are both 108", so it's close but may need modified.

I found it on trifives.com talking about frames with C5/6 Vette setup. No info on it, so not sure what it is for, but it is cool.

So I found a shop (reliable shop) that will sell me what is between the red lines. Was unclear if it includes the from & back cross pieces, But that will simplify a lot of it.

Well now I am worried. I have not paid anything for the Vette Chassis yet, think it is an 05 model year, have read bad things about the 05 differential case cracking/breaking from track use and even on the street from just small bolt-ons.
