This is a pic to remind me that I'm not building a show car!! The pieces are hanging from the ceiling...just been primered.

I also replaced some quarter window hardware while the QP was removed,

I needed some more Orange to keep me motivated so I painted the spoiler.

I moved to other side and found this. The bondo was an 1 1/4 thick in some spots!

But like I said, I wont bore you with this side! I got it welded on and in the process of body work now!

I started the wet sanding process on the 2" cowl hood... it looks like 6" in the pic! I found some low spots during the process. Nothing the glazing putty can't take care of.

Some work on the fenders. Using 3M Dry Block sanding product. Great stuff. Doesn't clog the sand paper.

You can see it left here on all the edges...

A little wet sanding on the fender extension with 400.

I ended up with some orange peel still...

      A little more sanding...

      The finished product

I needed a reminder to tack everything before spraying. I got the point with this! Everything coated with HOK white sealer

Three coats of HOK Tangelo with two coats of HOK Klear. I'm only doing two coats now because I will be sanding again with 1000 and then painting my stripe once the car is assembled.

Good job on the body panels. Great choice on the color too. Good luck meeting your goals.

Thanks Trey. It's going to be close. She won't be completely done and I'm sure people will look at it and wonder why I'm driving it! lol If only they knew what I did in 6 weeks. Procrastination sucks!! :D

Started stripping the doors. A "friend" who will remain anonymous told me if there was any bondo, leave it! I'm glad I didn't.
What was under all that crap...

      And under that...

I treated the area with RustSeal and cut a piece of the old quarter panel to make a patch. Me welding it in. I didn't kno wthe wife was snapping pics until I downloaded them all!

I know, welding in shorts! I have a few holes burned into my socks.

I did a few days of bodywork and just wanted to get this thing in primer to see my mistakes and where I needed to concentrate. The wife snapped this one of me masking and prepping the car for the primer.

      When she was all done...

I can see where it needs my attention much better now. The wife is excited to see her in one color too!

Yes, those cases of Bud Light are empty! 6 weeks of working in the garage on hot summer days. A few weeks left and I'll be back in the gym and not so much beer. :(
I'll be back to work the next few nights and then hope to hit it hard Friday. Maybe, and that's a big maybe, I'll have some paint by Monday. Wish me luck!
