Indeed, it's shake down time. Always a little nervous after a few changes and thinking back if all was double and triple checked. I always like to spend a lot of time driveing it on the street and feel the car. Windy country roads are the best. Just remember the cell phone and triple A card just in case.

Congrats, this one has been a long time coming!!

Mine was 8 months in the garage! Time for some fun. I need to get things tested before I hit the cones. But dodging cones is in the plan.

Good luck with your project, any progress is good progress.

Thanks for the invite John! I am not sure if I am ready for a cruise. I need to do some more sorting. Maybe I will cruise over in the DD and check the cars out.

Thanks Brett. It has been almost 9 months. That was a full R&D developement of a rear suspension, not too bad for part time work on it. Now it needs some tuning. Reset ride heights after settling and tune the shocks.

I drove the car about 3 miles around the neighborhood. I have a slight tire rub on the inside of both rear tires. It doesnt appear to be rubbing all the time. I need to investigate that and make some clearance. But that seems like the only issue right now.

After investigation the tire rub is minimal and I think it only hits when I drive up the driveway at an angle.

I have not pushed the car really hard yet, but it feels a lot faster with these falken tires on it. It actually has some bite. The rear suspension helps too!
