I really think the most impressive part of this build is the motivation to have such steady progression while maintaining such a high level of attention to detail!! Still my favorite build on here!

      Wayne,
They will be painted black so that they disappear. I may have them powder coated as it will take a little bit more abuse.
      Thank you

Not a productive weekend on the charger as I went to Carlisle, but I did spray some hi build primer on the hood and trunk lid today.
      Thanks

I love the shots of the body sideways or upside down. A rotisserie has to be wonderful to have. Are you going to paint the car in your shop?

Did my first gound up restoration on my back (64 GTO) when I was 23 years old now I'm 51 and I can imagine doing a restoration was out a rotisserie. Yes the will get painted in the same shop, when I start the top side base coat clear coat I will roll down the walls of the paint booth and clean it up.
      Thanks
      Pat

With the car completely epoxy primed I applied all the seam sealer on the exterior panels, starting with the roof drip rail. After sanding with 220 and a Scotch-Brite pad, l taped both the drip rail and roof to control the edge of the seam sealer. Using a product from 3M called Fast & firm #08505 I tooled it in using my finger and little lacquer thinner to keep i pliable. This Fast & Firm is easy to use and works great for paint or a vinyl top. I saved a small section of the original seem sealer to maintain the same shape.
      Thanks

Yes it will have a black vinyl top as the original bullitt car did! The vinyl top and headliner is currently laid over my sons 68 Mustang so that all the wrinkles will be gone by the time we install it. But now that he's just graduated culinary school I'm sure he's gonna want his car back and I will lose my vinyl top storage bench ;-)
      Thank you

We setup the paint booth 4 years ago using white boat shrink wrap plastic to cover the walls and ceiling. Two of the walls roll up to get the car in and out and we used a cheap storm door at one corner. At 1 end we built a 9' x 2' x 6" box around two window to hold two 24" fans with a track to slide in eight 24" AC filters. And at the other end we have a four 24" x 24" x 4" AC intake filters in the corner. this will be the 3rd car to be painted in the booth and will need a good cleaning 1st.
      I hope this helps!
      Thanks
      Pat

Not much to show the last two weeks as I've been out of town but I did get some more some seam sealer done around the trunk and quarters.
      Thanks

As I look at the size of that car as compared to my 51, I think, that's a lot of blocking to get it right. I believe that car is going to be right when you're finished. It's a little sad that not everybody understands " Bullitt".
