Ok update on the wheels. They are done and I received a photo from them of one of the wheels. They look sweet. So I went down to pick them up today, the back spacing on the fronts were not right so I left them to have them corrected. I have the rears with tires mounted, but I won't be able to post any pics till later tonight. So here is the photo of the wheel. What do you guys think?

      1971 Nova Build ??

Ok finally got them home and took some snap shots. Like I mentioned before the fronts are being redone, with the rears I can start taking measurements for the new rear end, Z06 brakes & suspension. That will be the next phase, I'm waiting on some parts to finish the fill fuel cap plumbing to the gas tank and then fill in the side marker lights with some sheet metal. Ok here are those photos of the rear wheels.

By the way Mike that color in that first photo is Satin Black but with the lighting in their shop, flash etc it gave it that somewhat gold color to it lol. Cool huh

Hey Randy, yes they do look like them lol. Didn't even think about it when I was discussing the pattern for the wheels. I'm not much a big fan of the spoke wheels, kinda old school of the weld wheels look is what I was after. Will see how she looks when all put together down the road.

      1971 Nova Build ??

So here is what I've been up too lately. Finished up filling in the side marker lights and holes along the body. Like I mentioned before the body shop guys are going to love me lol. Talk to Tobin at Kore3 and put my order in for my Big brakes Z06 brakes, rotors and hoses. Soon as they get here will be taking my measurements for my 9" rear end & suspension from SpeedTech and front suspension from ridetech. Things are moving along quite well and looking forward to some deliveries lol.

      1971 Nova Build ??

A little update for now. I've order my brakes with Kore3 and waiting for them to be delivered I will be getting to the suspension soon after I receive the brakes. Been also working on cleaning up my LY6 for paint, cam swap, since I'm waiting for things to come in. I will be attending the USCA this weekend at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, that's going to be fun to watch. Hope to speak with ridetech guys about their stuff while I'm there. Here are a few pics of what I've been up too. More to come later.

      1971 Nova Build ??

Well had a good time at the optima USCA event at Auto Club Speedway for Fathers Day with my son. Seen a lot of nice cars and met some cool peps too. Only thing that was a bummer was that ridetech wasn't there with a booth :(. I've been getting the block ready for paint, ordering parts and more parts and more parts lol. Kore3 brakes arrived this past Sat and all I got to say is wow. Here are some pics we took at the event.

A little update for now. Like I mentioned in my previous post my focus has been cleaning up the engine, prep, paint has been finished. Ordered my SS3 cam kit, tune, intake porting and converter from GPI ( Gwatney Performance Innovation) and I have to say Ryan has been great to deal with even with all my questions I throw at him. Also waiting for gaskets to come in so I can put it all in and have the motor ready for mock up in the frame. I have a valve spring remover tool that I used on my 2002 Tahoe, but it doesn't fit on my L92 heads. So I made some new bottom bases, one 1/4 & 3/8 thick just in case one didn't work. In the photo on the right is the old version and the ones on the left are the new ones I made.

Here are my Z06 big brakes from Kore3, and also Tobin is excellent to deal with, great guy and knows his brakes.

Also been doing some interior shopping and picked up a set of front GTO seats and rear seats for the nova. They do look good in there lol

So for now I'm waiting for the engine stuff and then move back on to ordering the suspension. Until then my son and I are off to NY for the weekend for a little R&R and to catch a baseball game

Looking good. Keep up the good work. I notice you don't have bucket seat floor brackets. If you were thinking of putting some in, I have some our to a SS car that I'm selling. There's an ad in the classifieds if you're interested.

      1971 Nova Build ??

A little update for now. Received some of my Speedtech torque arm suspension yesterday, very nice. The rest of the rear and front suspension
is on its way. Also waiting for headers, motor mount plates, third member to get here. Got underneath the car today to install the frame braces and rear crossmember for the torque arm, my 9" rear differential is also on order.
It's coming along real nice, soon will have it rolling on its wheels
