Yes, anything that will work with a C5/6 rear upright. The caliper mount might be different due to spacing of the rotor in relation to stock.

This specific setup is going with 14 inch GT and W4 calipers, so I just accounted for that.

      As a rough estimate, yes.

Brake packages and some other elements can change that number quite a bit so its hard to give a set number right now. In due time I will have a set number to associate with the package as a complete unit.

Oh those are nice. Any chance you'd be able to modify an existing IRS CV to shorten it?

Nice looking parts. Are those made by The Drive Shaft shop?

Some more info on the geometry would be nice, such as, anti-squat, camber curve, and bump steer.

You don't really get CV shafts shortened. If you need a shorter axle you can have a custom bar made to your specifications. There are numerous vendors that can do this, The DriveShaft shop being one of them.

Yes the DS shop made them for us, They will also be making the axles and drive-shaft for this particular chassis / project.

The geometry is modified stock C6 from the factory. We got the stock files for the stock platform them moved it inward accordingly for the proper WMS we needed.

correct, the CV setup is about as short as it can be from the machine shop, they are limited by the components and third member in the center. The axles however are easy to make and usually end up cheaper then custom length CV setups.

      Jason,

I've worked with Frank in the past and he runs a very good operation.

Please WOW me with this set-up. You are going to charge the sum of a down payment on a house for a rear suspension setup. Please tell me how awesome it will be. Please tell me something more about it. Please tell me what "modified" C6 geometry means. I know the C6 is a great car, but how will its rear geometry work when it is combined with a custom chassis and a non-C6 from suspension. Please tell me how it is better than anything else on the market today...Please...

I am waiting on more info about this bad boy too and have been following this thread. I have another project that would love this! The way I read it, it is good ol' stock C6 geometry (proven and used by most) that is just narrowed to desired Wheel Mount Surface. This WMS mod would not change geometry, and given the front suspension is given as much love as this rear, and weight distribution at corners is monitered as all cars of this caliber are with correct shock valving/spring rates, you will have one bad mo fo! The initial 19K estimate sounded high to me at first too, but then I remembered even a Moser type Fabricated semi-floater with same 3rd member & brake package ( W4 w/14" GT) that Jason spoke of, paired with a DSE parallel 4-link or equal will run approx. 10K and you still just have a semi-floater with parallel 4-link (not knocking as I have DSE 4-link as well....but to get to this level of rear that GMR has posted takes big bucks).
So now add in the fact that this comes with 300M race proven half shafts (Upgrade), GMR race hubs (Upgrade), GMR Chromolly fabricated center housing (Upgrade), Remote Resivoir Piggy Back race shocks (Upgrade), Cost to produce these low run complete custom products (priceless if you have ever tried yourself), take in the fact that it is advertised at 1400hp, and most likely lighter, and did you see that Sway bar set-up!. WOW.......there you have it! Jason tell us more..........especially about the race hubs. Are these stock or?

No doubt wellis77.......look how much spline engagement the link arms have, twice that of any I've seen or have owned! Talk about stable....when even the largest of cars bodies start to roll, this is the ideal type spline surface/engagement needed to help control it. VERY impressive!

Please keep in mind that the price range was only an estimate, It can possibly be thousands more once were said and done. The rear hubs along are going to be 2K plus then you have to remember that we also have 1600 in shocks / springs etc...

AS for the geometry, we do not have the "kits" finalized. As it looks right now we are going to have 2-3 basic rear bulkhead sections. These will be very similar in geometry but different WMS measurements for the different platforms.

The two main WMS measurements we have discussed as a "must" to fit the majority of the market will be applicable to a early Nova and Gen1 Camaro. Those two WMS measurements see to cover the majority of the market.

The setup is still only in the design / setup phase. The pictures you see are for a "one-off" chassis with VERY specific requirements. The actual "kits" we plan to produce are going to look slightly different and have different WMS measurements.

As for the geometry, I dont know if we will disclose any information about what was changed or the actual location changes, once we get to that point I will categorize the information and make a decision on what we are willing to disclose.

Please be patient, we are far from a serious final product.

      Thanks
      Jason

Still moving forward. There is a large amount of design / fabrication involved with this specific project so some elements are taking time to complete. In other words... im only one man!

      Center section getting closer!

Wow you're getting close...it needs a few shafts to connect the dots and a little more welding in places and you're about done...right?
