Old enough not to take you seriously. But honestly you obviously have superior command over language and grammar. Thats great for you. Why you feel the need to point out every post placed by someone without that skill is beyond me. Why cant you adjust? Perhaps every time you point those things out you are twitching a nerve in someone.

If you cant take grammatically incorrect post then ignore them, Why out people all the time. Not all of us write for a living you know.

      Hey ,
I can't stand to read a post with no periods and incorrect spelling either.
It takes too long to read because you have to correct it in your head to make sense of it .
      And it hurts my eyes.

      But , it's no biggy.
I just skip over the posts that make no sense.

      Honestly?

Because there are people on this board that have a wealth of information such as MonzaRacer and sometimes yourself. The thing is that if that information isn't communicated effectively it can be misunderstood if it is read, and is rendered entirely useless if someone passes it up entirely because it's difficult or annoying to read. If the information isn't communicated well it is lost and the board is diminished as a result.

.....and the passage in my signature line......those words are not my own. They are attributed to Paul Simonon.

Proper grammar would require that line from Simonon to be quoted or perhaps underlined. I am not sure we didn't get the best education in the orphanage.

I get your point. I hope you get mine.

I agree with True. Proper grammer makes it easier to understand the point someone is trying to get across. It's our language, we should try to use it correctly.
Everyone occasionally makes a mistake though. That's no big deal.

this is not a difficult solution. I have the same problem - I have a masters degree but when I am on a board - I typically type as if I am speaking and no one ever speaks grammatically correct. the easist thing to do (which I am not doing on this post) is to type your post and then copy and paste it into word and let it correct it for you. then repaste it back to here and submit it.

it will go over a lot better than a post like this with no capitalization etc etc

the problem is that you can hear yourself talking and hera the inflection in your head as you talk but others can not as they read so proper grammer is useful.

Y'all are going to laugh, but I have trouble typing. I only use one maybe two fingers on my left hand. guess where the shift key is? That's the biggest reason I don't capitalize all the time. This summer I plan to sit down and find a typing tutor program. This typing with one finger on my left hand crap is really starting to cause me serious tendon pain when I attempt to write a paper for school.

HaHa, I know what you mean. I used to be the same way, I would hit one key at a time. Started playing this online game "counterstrike". Ever since that game I can type fast and quick, but alot of times I forget periods and what not.

Yeah, the GM thing and how it is perceived by the members ends up becoming political (and even religious). It almost always goes bad after that.
JP, I'm sorry about the religion reference in the GM supplier quote I posted. I thought his post was interesting, or at least thought provoking. His views on religion are far from mine, but I thought it best to quote the man in full, rather than offending anyone's beliefs by censoring a passing reference (6 words out of a 16 paragraph letter) to divinity.

The problem that I see on this site is that sometimes when certain Mods step in on a thread, they arent using much tact in how they deal with it. On other sites if someone gets out of hand, the Mods are pretty cordial about it and quietly it goes away. As someone earlier mentioned here, a PM could go a long way. That is my .02. As far as the spelling thing.. Not all car guys can spell, or even read for that matter. If the grammar bothers you that much, you have the power to go and correct it.
