Its been a busy week and we have made some great headway on the assembly. We are just about done the wiring using the ISIS system - the front and rear Powercell boxes are in place and the wiring for all of the external systems is in place:

You can see the step-by-step installation on the OneLapCamaro website here - ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System Installation.

In addition to the wiring we have been making great progress in and out of the car. The new dash has arrived - we fitted it yesterday and finalized the installation today. Tomorrow we'll work at getting the Vintage Air vents and controls mounted and as soon as the Racepak dash arrives we'll get the instrument cluster together.

Our rear tow hook is in place...

and we are getting closer to pulling the trigger...

The main oil tank and breather is a Peterson piece that is available from American Touring Specialties; give Tyler a call and I am sure that he can hook you up. Installation can be fairly simple - the height is perfect and it tucks nicely in the corner - but in our case we got a little carried away with out inner fender modifications around the tank. It came out well and helps give it the factory feel but it was a ton of work.

Just the fact that it's a 67 makes me happy. The color and wheels are spot on. Amazing work.

It's been a long couple of weeks and we have been making lots of progress but at this point there are some things that will have to wait.

What I can share is some of the good and bad that we have been dealing with as we try to get everything together...

The ISIS System has been powered up and, I have to tell you, is very impressive. The rear Powercell is complete and fully functional -

and is being controlled by the front mounted Mastercell control box. The diagnostic ablilities are awesome and make the system very easy to deal with. We fabricated a hinged mount for the Mastercell beneath the dash to give us easy access; I'm getting too old to contort myself like a pretzel to get under the dash -

Which we have been laying out -

      - nope

Despite all of the complexities that I had heard about Racepak dashes in the past, the new IQ3 seems to have solved many of the complications. Despite having some difficulties at first, once we had all of the pieces that we needed it was very straight forward.

On the down side, we had to start working on a new hood. I stole the NOS hood off my wifes '67 (if I don't start working on it soon there won't be a lot left of it) and Chris started stripping it.

Unfortunately, our carbon hood had a couple of problems that we just could not overcome. Fortunately, the steel hood is almost perfect -

It should be in paint by the end of the week.

We are doing a final test fit of the grill and headlights -

The Penske shocks should be back by mid week and we should have it running before the end of the week.

With a little help from our friends....

As long as no time equates to 14 days I agree - we should be ok.

Thanks everybody - as the interior takes shape it really brings it all together.
