What kind of Vette was Troy building? Kind of caught a portion of it in one of your pics.

lol, for sure! The whole supercharger setup is a little baffling. Its one of those things where you wont understand the setup until its done.

The blower setup is similar to alot of street legal race cars... in those, you force the air back into the car to an ice / water filled intercooler where the passenger seat usually lives or in the trunk, then plumb the charge back through the cowl into the throttle body. It's going to be pretty trick looking.

Wow, I'm stunned by the work those guys do!

Have you given Troy full control over the build ideas or did you have any input as far as some of them? Always been interested in how that works being that it's your money but his name on the car.

Congrats on an "outside the box" Nova that will probably never be equalled! I'm about as excited as a fox in a henhouse to see this thing done!

No problem... I can see how it's a little hard to visualize, but it's been a proven concept... and it will work awesome! Troy mentioned the YearOne event.. is it possible the car will make it there?

We started out with an idea of where we wanted to go with the project but over time you find yourself adding more cool stuff to do to the car.

The only basic overall design element we came up with was that we wanted a car that had a spooky look to it. Something that looked menacing, nasty, sinister...whatever you would want to call it. It had to be functional so that we could drive it hard if needbe. Color is also something we wanted to pick from the beginning. As mentioned in the v8tv video, my dad had one of these 70 novas when he was 20 and his was the charcoal grey. So the car has to be some sort of dark charcoal with a thrash inspired twist to it.

Bob Thrash is the design guy at radrides but its a team effort where everyone has some input. We went with Troy because we like the way he builds his cars. I think thats the best way to do it. Pick some builders, check out how they think a car should go together and go with the one that vibes the best with your ideas.

Troy mentioned the YearOne event.. is it possible the car will make it there?
I would say thats a possibility, he told my dad he wanted it completed by may.

Glad you enjoy it. Hows the work coming on yours? Decide on a chassis setup yet?

It's cool how Troy is way into these builds. It's also great to see some more description about the build. Pics are great, but his explanation of the car is top notch.

      Awesome car!

      Derek,

Here's a few shots from yesterday. Levi told me the car is going to bodyshop on Monday...

This is not the Nova, but it was freakn' cool. I have been hanging around the shop for a couple of years and first saw this on their site, 3 years ago...
