That's alright Vengeance, I've already got proof that deep down, you really love two-tone paint schemes. See post #4

      hahahaha!

stand up and hold the 2 tone flag HIGH!

nah man, like i said.. i like 2 tone.. its awesome on SOME cars..
but on this perticular car id say "go solid"

besides.. if you asked me how i felt about the 2 tone on YOUR car.. id say i like the combo and how it came out...

Now that I've saved two-tone's rep...I also think the Nova should be solid colored.

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

We look forward to working with Troy and get ready to see our build up of a car my dad had when he was in his 20s.

I might post some stuff up here (picts etc) but I think Troy is going to have stuff on his website of the build.

Any guys from chicago...you WILL see this car on the road and at the local car shows (downers grove, lemont etc). These machines were ment to be driven! More to come!

See your nova on v8tv.check out steve stroupes camaro inspired nova built a few months ago.Troy is the best detailed builder out there.I hear you need 100 to 150 to spark his interest.I also hear he dont take small jobs.I like schwartz in crystal lake IL.He's a down to earth guy.I dont know him,but ive talked to him on the phone.Im going with him for my build power tour 09 or 10 1979 malibu wagon.

      Cant wait!

I dont really know much about how they decide what cars to build and not build. I have seen the strope nova which is more of a stocker but still pretty cool. Ours is more of a protouring car. Big motor, big blower, killer suspension etc. As for attention to detail you cant beat radrides work.

Its best to visit the shop you are looking into for your build. I have heard good things of schwartz but do not actually know him or have ever been to their shop. Project sounds cool, what are your plans for it? Big motor, suspension???

      Update

Car will be in primer by Friday. It is looking spectacular. Im going out a limb here and guessing it will be painted by the end of march. On a side note...the roof needed ZERO filler. It was perfect as is. Big props the the guys at the bodyshop...they do an awesome job!

      Update!

The nova has completed the body work. It was shot with primer last week and currently is in sealer. The sealer is a green color and "green is good", because the next step is paint! I have one picture of the car in primer but its really not worth putting up b/c its just the front fender. Things are going to go fast from this point... so keep watchin!
