When I relocated my battery to the trunk I was told by a few very experienced mechanics that the best ground is to ground it to the back of the transmission. So, I drilled a hole throught the floor and ran it to a bolt on the transmission. I have never had a problem. In fact I am very happy with the performance of my electrical system.
