Thanks, I was wondering about that. I thought it would be better to run it back to the block. I just hate to run 2 #1 gauge wire to the front, I think it may be seen under the carpet.

Do what I did, tuck the cable in the channel which runs from the rear wheelwell, under the sill plate to the front kick panel you will be fine.
