      IAT Sensor install location

      Hey,

I have a Fast Ez efi multiport kit that I am current installing. On my throttle body I have the port on the rear for the IACV motor and 2 vacuum lines. On the front is the port for the IAT but the sensor from Fast is too big to fit. Can I plug the port on the throttle body and mount this sensor on the underside of the air cleaner? Drill a hole and tap it?

My understanding the purpose of the IAT is to measure the temperature of the air coming into the throttle body.

      TIA

I see no problems with doing that.

      Thanks Andrew!

Now just need to find the right sized plug for the throttle body.

In a aftermarket setup I would run it as close as possible to TB inlet.
