The LS1 is the 5.7l as stated before, but never came in trucks. The Vortec 5.3l is what came in the trucks. Since they're both "LSx" engines, many parts will interchange between them.
My opinion, I'd run the Cleveland. With the right work done, it's a wicked motor hahaNelson
