Lexus GS300 LS engine Mount kit!!!

The Second Gen GS300's ran from 97-05 and can be had on the cheap. Strong aftermarket support for the chassis. The "DGR Fabrication" LS engine mounts are steep at $1,500, but look like a really good alternative to getting a High Performance luxury 4-door like the CTS-V...which a lot of us are still priced out of.

Great kit. The fact that the motor mount adapters are billet aluminum certainly adds to the cost. I bet if they had designed these to be fabricated and welded out of steel the price would be way less. Does anyone know if that Lexus is painted or wrapped?

$1500 for motor mounts and a tranny mount, I wonder how much they make on each kit.

I love those cars. Always wanted to sell my Impala SS for GS400. Actually love the way they sound w/aftermarket exhaust.

Dang it! This was to be my secret luxury build, lol. Though I was plannign to keep the 3.0 6 cylinder. I could not find one with a manual when looking a while back. Did they make one?

I have always liked that body style. An LS between the fenders would be a great ride.

I was wondering the same thing? If there was a manual (which I didn't remember there being) it is going to be just as hard as finding the Lexus SC300 with a manual.

      It's painted Andrew.

To WS6 & Phillip. The car over here came with the N/A 2JZ-GE, the sister to the 2JZ-GTE found in the twin turbo Supra. Over in Japan, the Lexus GS300 was the Toyota Aristo. Japan got the twin Turbo 2JZ-GTE. Sorry, but the GS300, nor the Aristo came with the Manual. You Could swap in the Toyota V160 or V161 Getrag 6-speed from the Supra, but it aint cheap by a long shot, $4,000-$6,000. But then again, you've got all the SC300 (Toyota Soarer), Supra, and IS300 (Toyota Altezza) owners pining over them for swaps w/ their 2JZ-GTE or their turbo GE motor. Plus a cutom Driveshaft, Tranny Mount, and a third pedal will have to fabbed. Not worth it now that this swap is available IMHO.

That looks sweet! One of these days someone should compile a list of all the cars an LS has gone into. Bet it would be a looong list...

The article states $1500 for the Mounting Kit. I wonder if there's more to it than just the mounts and what it all entails. $1500 is a lot of money for just a set of mounts.

And I agree...a Super Camry is a nice alternative to the CTS-V if you can't afford one.

maybe its just me, but that doesn't make any sense. it won't be emissions legal, so unless you live in a state that doesn't smog, why would you do such a swap? plus the nightmare of making the electronics talk to each other, and keeping the ABS/traction etc working.
there is so much aftermarket for the toyota engines, I can't see the sense in this, unless you just really need a us/asian hybrid.
