Clear is all blocked with 800 grit and I hope to spray the last 2 coats of clear this weekend. Last of the painting ;-) on to the color sanding and polishing :-(

It looks great Pat, I can't wait to see the finis product.

What's the plan on the door jambs?

[andrewb70]

How about I drive my Cougar up over the summer for a quick "scuff and shoot?"

Andrew

[dhutton]

I can’t imagine spending 60 hours block sanding clear. Your results are awesome.

I have exp. with door jambs. You have my sympathies.

Hi Pat, Please excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by this...

The car is a five or 10 footer at best.

Its from 4-30-2014 post #5
Thanks, Brian

It basically means that the car looks great from 5 or 10 feet away, but if you get closer you can find imperfections.

Now, I think you'd have to be looking at it with a microscope to find any. LOL.

Thanks Jay, That's what I thought but wasn't sure.

On my computer screen the finish is amazing, like glass. I can't imagine what it looks like in person!

Brian,
Jay is correct it was a nice car from a distance to start with.
But I’m shooting for a little better finish ;-)
Thanks

What is the body sitting on? Do you have a guesstimate on completion time to driving? More progress.

Wheel stands bolted where the suspension goes.
As for completion date, I’ve given up on this summer and shooting for spring of 2019.
Thanks
