You going to use the 8.8 rear? Will it need to be cut down? What wheels you plan to use?

No it was hard to get someone to cut it down so I went w a new 9" from martz I get to pick the length I wanted (54")and that already has the brackets welded on for thier 4 link. I'm going with these tsw wheels Name: IMG_1868.JPG

Nice. I like those wheels. What back spacing will you need?

They were the closest to the super snake rims I could find that fit the backs will be 6.81 backspacing basically identical to my cobra r rims. Fronts I'll have to figure out once the suspension gets installed

This build takes me back to when I started. Nice to see more coupes being done. Keep up the progress.

Thanks. Always liked the coupes over the fast back. I think all the popularity w gone in 60 seconds kinda ruined it for me.

im running the AJE front and rear colt65 stuff on my car if you have any questions. They arent the best at explaining things when it comes to assembly and parts you need.

@xsboost90 Actually we just got to the front suspension it says it's bolt in but there is only one bolt. I take it u need to drill threw the frame for the other 4 ?? Do u have any pics of the install. And what steering shaft did you use ??

there is from what i remember a hole that lines up with the cross member. That one wasnt used but just for reference- the other four were drilled all the way through the frame- after you cut out all the other old stuff- and then open up one side of each hole- i did the bottom, slide a sleeve in there- supplied- and then weld it in. So my kmember has four large bolts that hold it in. The front suspension bolted up very nicely but they didnt have any info about a front swaybar and i had sold off my stock one. I bought a stock style bar biggest i could find and it fits, but i had to find some custom length links at autozone to get the bar to clear the rack correctly. I also opened up the existing notch in the bottom of the frame to clear the bar should i bottom the car out. I used a fox mustang cobra rack, 1994 spindles, 1997 cobra brakes 13", their struts and mounts. Oh i bought a Flaming river column that was "mustang length" and made my own mounts. Bought a (Ididit or Flaming river)-same stuff- shaft kit to connect the column to the stock rack and cut it to length. Worked very well and just had to ding my header in one spot to clear the shaft.

The rear bolted right in, some of the same procedures.

Ok I was gonna go 18x9. Height Isn't an issue I was worried about how wide and 255 up front is perfect

In the middle of putting my 66 together. I'm also using the AJE front end. I used their rear setup, but shortened the 8.8 up to tuck the wheels in. Nevermind the old looking rack and dirty car, just mock up. Your project looks like it's coming along great!

What size rear tires and wheels? What back spacing and how much did you shorten the 8.8?

I am debating between the aje rear setup or the martz
