I found a glass shop close to my house that can use the stock windshield and make it flush mounted, or since mine was cracked he can buy a bigger windshield and flush mount it. For the back glass, he said they use the stock glass. According to him, they can make everything flush using seals, so there's no mods needed on the car except cutting out the tabs for the outer trim. I need to talk to him more, I just wanted to find out how much it would be before I sawed the drip rails off the car.

Also, flush glass!?!?! I WANT THIS. But the only source I found was $1k just for the front window.
He said the front would be about $150, and I cant remember what he said about the back, but it should be around $400 front and rear

The glass guy said that it would be 1/2" rubber trim, so it would look like the windshield on pretty much every modern car you see. I saw a Chevelle that used to be owned by Brett from ridetech that had a flush windshield without trim, not sure which I like better

      here's some pics of it

Time for a update! I'll have pics later.

School has been getting more and more time consuming as the semester gets closer to ending, so not too much has been done lately. I made a patch panel and filled in the now useless A/C vent on the passenger side of the dash, now I'm trying to decide on colors for the interior.

I pushed my frame down the street to my friends house that her dad has a milling machine and made some frame braces for the rear of the frame. They're expensive from places like DSE, so I designed and built some of my own for cheap. I'm also working on designing a trans crossmember and a roll cage for the car. For now it's back at my house, I'll push it back over there when the body is on the frame and her 63 C10 is painted.

I got stainless brake lines from Kore3 and have got the brackets welded to the rear end. I need to finish the hard lines to connect them to the rest of the brakes, but I need to go get a tool to do that.

In the body work department, I'm about half way done with flush mounted marker lights, just need to finish the acrylic inserts and work on LED's for lighting them. I have flush door handles designed too, just need my friend with the mill to help me make them.

My friend with the 63 C10 had a spare dual-plane edelbrock intake that her dad gave to me, so I cleaned it up and its ready to go on the motor when I assemble it.

I ordered the seats for the car yesterday as well. I got seats from a Subaru Impreza STI off ebay for a good price. My boss has an STI, so I was able to try them out and they're comfortable and have good side support, without having a Recaro price.

Now that I look at it, the list of things done looks pretty big, but since I cant see any of them done yet I feel like not much has happened. lol

I put some of the interior back in the car to make sure I get the seats in the right place, and I had to modify the seat rails to make them fit low enough so my head wont hit the roof with a helmet on

Hey Spencer it's Neal. Didn't realize you had a thread going on here. Digging the progress especially the marker lights. Nice pickup on the seats as well. Keep up the good work!

I am in Cave Creek and doing a 68. Can you tell me who is doing your flush mount windows and do you have to do any prep to the window channels for this?

I was freaking out a bit, thinking those wheels were off an LT1 Firehawk, but i finally realized you just had adapters to use the 5x5 bolt pattern. Looking very very good!

The shop is in Mesa called Auto Glass Boss, on Main street in between Lindsay and Gilbert road. I don't remember what he said, I can try to find a phone number if you'd like to call him

      Thanks!

Yeah there's wheel spacers on it now, but they have to go because there's only about 1/4" of space between the rear wheels and the fenders. I'm gonna get the wheels machined for a 4.75 bolt pattern so I can run them without spacer

You might want to switch the calipers around, the bleeder has to be top!

I'll keep that in mind! I was going to reverse bleed them so it wouldn't it be ok like this?

Not sure. I would wait and see if some of the brake masters chime in [paging]Tobin Kore3[/paging]. I was always told that the bleeders should be up.
      But the car looks great!

      1969 Chevelle "Cone Smasher"

School has finally ended for the semester, and I have some time off before summer classes begin, so it's time to work on the car!

Spent most of the weekend remodeling a bathroom, but once that was done I got the seats mounted in the car. They're out of a Subaru STI, and by the looks of the seats the car they came out of was very much on fire at some point in its life. The seats are not damaged, they just look bad

The car is now ready for us to start building the roll cage, I just need to get it drug over to my friends house so we an get started on it. Does anyone have suggestions for how to make the harness bar removable? I don't mind if it needs tools to get it out, but I want it to look nice.

      1969 Chevelle "Cone Smasher"

      Small update time!

My brother is graduating high school today, so family is in town and no work is being done on the car.

Last weekend, the seats were mounted in the car, the steering column was mounted, and the rear view mirrors were mocked into place. I will have pics later today!

My dad and I went to the metal yard and bought all the metal needed for building the roll cage, so that will be done in the next week or so.

The Torino decided to get jealous of the Chevelle, so we had to throw some parts at it as well. The rubber on the harmonic balancer has separated, so that needs replaced. And while were at it, we got a high flow water pump to help the cooling out.

Before we stopped on the Chevelle we decided to stick some panels on the body and make it look like a car again
