After trimming and cutting, I'm sticky with the Elky tubs plus 4". This will minimize the intrusion into the rear storage in the cab.

The truck tub is about 1" deeper and 2" longer. The LENTH is what turned me off. It required a lot more cutting of the bed floor. So instead I used the factory tub and added 4" to it. This turned out pretty good.

Be sure to check frame clearance. The Schwartz Performance chassis I'm using has the rear frame rails moved in to allow larger rubber.

Nothing to really speak of. Been stripping the bottom of undercoating a little. I've been swamped with work the past few weeks. Doesn't look like much will get done until November rolls around.

Thank goodness this job is done. Removing undercoat sucks. This weekend it will be sprayed with UPOL Raptor bed liner. Then over to Josh's new shop, remodeled chicken house, for the paint and body.

Honest Charley's has stepped up and will be a supplier of several pieces on this build including the SS nose. Thanks guys!

Josh sprayed the Raptor today with great results, as expected. We wanted to do it yesterday but grinding welds on the tubs and then applying seam sealer delayed us. With that checked ff the list, let the body prep begin.

Josh started stripping the shell this weekend and some previous hack work will need to be addressed. 3 patch panels are needed. There was up to 3 coats of paint in some areas.

Josh made great progress this weekend on the Right side. Pictures speak for themselves.

XXR sent out a set of their 521 wheels. Same as the Monte, different color. The rears will once again go out to Weld Craft for another 2". The 14" Bear brakes fill them nicely. Now if BF Goodrich would ramp up production and get some Rivals on the market. Can't even get the KDW's I won in Des Moines last July.

Modified the shadow box to fit the Auto Meter Phantom series gauges. This was also part of the Des Moines prize package for a greatly reduced price. 3 more gauges will be mounted in the console.

Making progress. The patch panels are done, minus some blocking. Rolled the chassis under so we can reassemble the frontend to mockup the SS nose. The color has been picked but you will have to wait for the first panel to be sprayed. The rear wheels still need to be sent out for widening.
