Josh worked his magic today and applied the etch and high build primer. A little work on the tailgate tomorrow and we will apply the Raptor.

Felt like we got a lot done this weekend. Today we seam sealed the the tubs, etch primed the tailgate, and sprayed the Upol Raptor bedliner. Josh has done a lot of work to get to this point.

The bedliner is tinted to match the paint and under threat of death, I believe Josh and the Wife meant it, those photos are black and white. I can tell you it turned out great and should be a very close match

Another little tidbit is we are doing something very different with most of the remaining trim and the hood vents. What is it? Well stay tuned, someday I will reveal it.

If I'm allowed to live that long, I still plan a trip down this spring for some autox.

They are just about to finally release the schedule for the year, I've seen a preliminary one...but once it's finalized I'll send it up to you.

3 of the weekends are going to be 2 day events at Heartland Park Topeka, with competitions both Saturday and Sunday as separate events. The courses there will more wide open courses in a HUGE asphalt parking lot... The rest of them will be at MCC where we normally run.

Doors fenders and tailgate have been stripped of their 4 coats of paint and waiting for Josh to do his magic. Only the hood remains to be stripped. Wish I knew why it was painted so many times. There is minimal rust so thats not the reason, but with all the small dents hail my be one.

Also added some vinyl to the gauge clusters

Is that vinyl on the gauge cluster you referred to the background that looks like carbon fiber?

It is vinyl. Directly of EBay. Very thick and a great 3D effect.

Looking good. I see you didn't seam seal the bed floor to sides. I only bring it up, because all the Elky's I had, leaked into the passenger compartment from there. Right under the window where the side, back, and floor panels all meet.

Your bedliner should take care of that though I think.

Had the same thought, bedliner should be good though.

The original seam seal is in the front of the bed and was in fine shape. We shined a light through the floor to make sure it was sealed. The rear tubs had to get seal sealer since they were cut and 4" added.

The car looks great, even singing those paint-jail blues.
Looking forward to the color shots.

Lookin good!! BTW, thanks to your picture and advice, I have modified the design to accomodate manual brakes in the next batch of pedal kits.

For anyone who doesn't know, this setup is designed to give proper clutch pedal kinematics and provide an OEM-like feeling clutch pedal. Mounting the master directly on the firewall results in a very stiff clutch. I started with a factory F-body master cylinder and aligned it with the pedal where I thought it should go. That resulted in the bracket which mounts it.

That will work just fine. I had no idea you two were in cahoots. We've got to meet up somehow sometime.

I convinced Bernie to let me help him with his manufacturing of his bracket. I modeled his design in a 3D CAD system & had the parts CNC Plasma cut.

One of these days, somehow, I would like to meet. Dan, I want to see both your cars up close.

A little update. The remainder go the body panels are ready for priming minus the nose. Josh had to wait until I could mock up the tow ring. Felt with the Fiberglass nose with the 2" extentions we better be safe than sorry. One will be mounted through the rear roll pan also. Hopefully in the next couple weeks we are in the block sanding stage.
