Great looking car. Did you use SPI on the body as well or just the stripes?

All I ever use for primers and clear is SPI since 2005.

Good to know, unfortunately SPI is not to well know out west so I can't go to my local paint store to pick up. Mine should be shot next week, I'm going with the Universal clear. All I hear I hear out here is ppg this ppg that. How many coats of clear did you go with? My painter has never shot SPI clear, did you spray wet coats like Bob recommends.

I shot 3 coats on this one. On my 68 coupe I sprayed 3 wet sanded with 600 and sprayed 3 more. SPI has free shipping. Spray first coat like the last wet waiting 30 min between coats.

That's looking really good! Always nice to turn that corner and start bolting stuff on.

      Gorgeous work Rusty!
I really like the front suspension on this car.

It has been awhile since I posted so it is time to catch up.

Brian has the front fenders installed

Deck lid taped off and ready for blue along with the rear valance

      Three coats of Guardsman blue

Removed the tape and clean a little and spray three coats of SPI Universal clear

Getting ready to lay out the stripes

Stripes on the hood, grille panel, stone guard and front valance

      Clear

Everything wet sanded, buffed and lined up
