Yeah, I used something similar in the magazine days, it seemed to work. We are putting Autometer's D-Pic in Prodigy, which is a mini data logger gauge to record that stuff. Almost like a build in G tech.

Maybe a test of this, A D Pic, a G tech, and some high end testing equipment. I know a lot of street racers do use g techs with reasonable success to gauge their performance

      I remember once....

When my sister got married years ago I had to wear one of those stupid synthetic flower corsages. I put the thing on the dash when we were on the way to the reception and it would start to slide at the tire breaking point almost exactly usually just a bit before. I left it there for a long time because it worked so well. I always knew I had room for more throttle if it didn't move yet and if it was slowly sliding it was the perfect speed. Of coarse it flew to the other side a few times as the rear started to come around.

The convenient thing about it was that it could be seen with periferral vision and also made a little sliding noise.

A.J. Foyt always used a pocket watch for years.

If it is hard to see it isn't worth having but things like that can help you see the limit as well as feel it.

They've been running a lot of silly ads lately. I think they're kinda funny. At least they're original!
