newest toy - drag car project

[Nine Ball]

I picked this 98 Pontiac Formula up last week. As it sits, it runs 11.3s all-motor with ported LS6 heads and a stock shortblock (6-speed). I'm dropping it off at the chassis shop this week to remove the 6-point rollbar and have a 10-point cage installed, as well as a full suspension and fab 9" rearend.



I'll be setting the car up to run bottom 9s with a single turbo (limited size to T4 flange and 88mm size max) for class racing in our EFI Nationals Racing Series. I think the car can go high 8s with that setup eventually. This car will be getting a Dedenbear cased Powerglide setup in place of the 6-speed.

Just another fun project car. Then its back to building the next pro-touring car!
