      1957 Ford Ranchero

Well I am about to start my project it is a 1957 Ford Ranchero that is going to be a pro-touring autox, open track car and a street driven car.
Here is the current state of the car. It is a rust free car or truck whatever you would like to call it. haha
My plans for the car is to build a full tube chassis front to rear, also i plan on setting the engine back 4-6 inches in the chassis.
      The powerplant:
Bbf 460 based 521 stroker with around 650 horsepower and 700lbft of torque.
      Front Suspension:
      LeftHander Road Race Perimeter Clip
      Joe's Racing control arms
      1 3/4 front spline bar
      Rear Suspension:
Hot Rods to Hell Trailing arms
Screw jacks with bilstein Gas charged race shocks
Custom Watts Link Set up made by Me.
It will be a 2x3 Rail .188 wall rectangle tubing front to rear and Tig welded.

      Well thats it for now.
I will have updates on wednesday or thursday with all the front suspension parts and pictures of all the rear suspension parts that will be going in to the car.
Hope you all enjoy the process as much as i will.

I got my new parts yesterday. Rear gas charged bilstein shocks, wilwood pro spindles, wilwood hubs, Lefthander chassis roller bearing upper control arms, Lefthander chassis lower control arms and 3/4 aluminum strut tubes with screw in ball joints for upper and lowers also got the joes racing aluminum shims. Will add pics of front stub tomorrow along with pics of rear suspension components and the center propeller of the watts link that ill be building for the car too. Hope you all enjoy. I'm Using Joe's upper arms too!

Keep an eye on the balljoints when you mount spindles ( if you are using stock ford spindles). Most of the circle track screw in BJs are Chrysler taper and ford spindles will need to be reamed slightly. the correct allstar reamer is a little pricey ( i think 88 bucks) .

Also on Monday ill take a picture of the front clip and I have my chassis laid out in tape on the floor for a full scale measuring device and fit all metal before I cut and weld so there will be no redoing anything. Hopefully I will be ordering my tubing for the chassis on Monday or Tuesday along with getting my bro to make me some cool gussets with his torchmate too.

definitely NOT country . :-) Her musical identity is Detroit, he music is decidedly rock and roll.

I wish wilwood made spindles that would work for me, but until i come across the coin for custom spindles and 4 piston fronts, I'm sticking with my measly 11 inch rotors and dual pistons. There's a 3rd member, a trans, so efi and a set of turbos in line ahead of different front brakes.

Its funny , I actually just got a trunk lid shipped to me from minnesota. They were $100 less for a clean one including shipping than anyone else I could find.
