      Great work on the build.
      We are building a similar project: 67 fastback, coyote, whipple, A/T, 9 inch rear, mini tub. We are still in the sheetmetal stages and mocking the engine next month. I will post progress photos and new thread once we get the engine fitted.

      Everything looks great.

      Any concerns about trapping engine heat? Just wondering if you'll have enough airflow through the engine bay so it doesn't trap the heat and make the interior too toasty.

      That is something I looked into at length. My research determined that most of the heat removal from an engine comes from the thermal exchange (radiator), not from air circulating around the outside of the block. I think it's around 85% or so.
      case in point, newer cars, if the radiator fan isn't working, the car overheats in a few minutes, driving or not.

      SO I figured if I can get all that hot air out coming out of the back of the radiator, out of the engine bay, that would be best.
      there is some air flow around the radiator that will move air around the motor and down the tunnel. Additionally we're putting a vent in either side of the rear section of the shroud to let some air flow out to keep from trapping air in that area. most of the hot air will be completely extracted out through the top of the hood. This is just an idea I had and we're going for it. Don't really have any field data on it, yet....

      Regarding heat in the engine bay, I was more thinking about the trapped heat making it hot in the cockpit.

      It would be a pretty easy thing to test once you're on the road by putting some type of temp gauge away from the headers up near the firewall. If the temps get hot because you don't have enough airflow to get the heat out of the engine bay, then you could worry about creating some vents to evacuate it more efficiently.

      Using something like the Lizard Skin ceramic on the cockpit floors and inside firewall would help insulate the cockpit too.

      Nothing worse than than having a really cool car that's not comfortable to be in.

      Mr.Dalamar, I would be so inclined to have to agree with everyone's opinion on your build. Oh heck, Who am I tryin' to fool with all that city talk? Dalamar sir, I've been messin' with street cars,drag cars,dirt cars, trucks of all kinds, atvs, motorcycles, and just bout' anything with a engine. Sir, You actually have one of the nicest builds that I've ever seen in the almost 40 plus years of livin' & lovin' the automotive industry!!! To put it simply it's BADA$$!!! Sorry for bein' long winded; but I didn't become a member until I finished all 22 pages of your build, and I don't mean to steal anyone else's thunder for that comment. Point being, everybody on this forum has nice vehicles! Thanks for listenin ', Joe C.

      Back on it, after a year on the shelf.
      Off to body shop for final bodywork, will be a month or so before they get it in and make progress, but i'll post updates when I can.









      I like the rear profile :D
      The center badge is just a mach-up, final won't be so prominent.

      Yes, Finally!

      Projects have to wait for life and business sometimes....
      Met with my body guy yesterday and got them back on it.

      Basic plan of attack is:
      The hood they need to re-do the hood, change the lines on the rise where it meets the extractor vents.
      Mount front end, and finish blending front splitter with fenders. Finish rear valance.
      Finalize sheet metal work, blend and prime. Then run all lines and wiring and fire up the Coyote.

      Parts on hand:
      Front End, Grill, wheels (may get newer wheels, wheel see)

      Need, Audio, interior, Headlights, Tail lights, run exhaust from hedders back.

      Looking into a plug and play wiring harness, having a hard time finding someone who can dissect the stock harness.

      So I should be able to update the thread here moving forward with some NEW content. Looking to be completed by spring next year.
