My father in law had this done... he was addicted to food, like a compulsive gambler or alcoholic. He's lost 30 or so lbs so far and is doing good. It's teaching him the proper way to eat. I think his food abuse stems from his childhood... seems like over eaters always do it for a reason. He has lots of support now and is doing great.

Good luck lowbuck - distance yourself from your family if they arent being supportive... they might be the whole reason you needed the surgery!

Damn! 148 pounds ---- gone --- just gone. That's almost as much as I weigh (160lbs.) You must be feeling pretty light on your feet by now.
You're doing good Dude! Keep it up.

I just had a thought. How many "tenths" do you figure you have knocked off of your ET?

That is awesome and all of us are pilling for you. Just to read the cholesterol number is great. Mine just got checked and it is 145 (thank God!), considering the horrid stuff I eat (fast food the bane of the single male).

What is the target weight if you don't mine saying?
