Comes up with error on page when my explorer tries. It says "Internet explorer cannot display the web page" This was the same results I was getting when I went through google as well.

Maybe a email address would work for me if someone has one. I'm getting desperate to buy one. I did see a phone number but with the time differences I would probably jag midnight over there.

Thats fine if your fitting a single disc plate, but twin discs make it that much harder to align both splines inline the same.

Go to the Quartermaster home page: http://www.racingclutches.com/index.phtml. Click on "Bearings" in the list on left side of the page. You'll get two pictures; click on "more information" under the "Mechanical Release Bearings" picture. Scoll down to the alignment tool.

Managed to get onto their website from work computers. Still don't know why my home connection wont do it but sh*t happens.

I have since found out that the tool in Pic is a 1.5/32" x 26 spline (Didn't know they made a larger diameter).
My GM T56 gearbox is 1.1/8" x 26 spline input shaft.
Does anyone know if they (Quarter Master) make a smaller GM alignment tool in steel ?
I see I can get a plastic splined one from Mr Gasket in a GM 1.1/8" x 26 spline.

      Cheers

      Deek,

Most people commonly, and mistakenly refer to the T56, Muncie, Jerico, Richmond 26 spline input shaft as 1 1/8". It is in fact 1 5/32".

So get the 26 spline tool from Quarter Master and enjoy.

There is a larger 29 spline input, but it is mainly used in NASCAR racing transmissions.

      Thanks Andrew,

I sent Quarter Master Industries an email asking about the part numbers for the two different size tools. A Jeff Weigert answered me with "This is the same part 660090" . This had me confused as I had measured my input shaft spline OD at 1.1/8" not 1.5/32" .

So your reply helps make some sense of his reply.

I also asked for a name of a supplier I could purchase off after being informed he does not sell direct to the public. Unfortunately I did not get a reply to this question.

Can anyone suggest a known supplier who does online sale to overseas customers ?

      Cheers

I have a dozen of these things in my tool box (labeled GM 26)

If you can't find one local just let me know.

      Deek,

Quarter Master has dealers in Australia. Give one of them a call.

I think they are about 35-40 bucks.

I have been enquiring around the Performance Shops over here, but as yet all I get is a blank stare.

I was hoping Jeff from Quarter Master might suggest a supplier in Australia.

Thanks Andrew & Steve1968LS2 (might take up your offer if nothing else shows up).

Anybody have a Tremec 3550 input shaft they can let me borrow or rent. Having issues lining it up. It fit fine before I took the trans out. All thats new is the pilot bushing and the bellhousing was re-aligned to the block and crank.

Well no luck finding a Quarter Master supplier in Australia. So I resorted to ebay & found a company named Genencor who sold Chester Steel splined clutch alignment shafts for the GM T56 & Fords. $50.00 AUD all up posted so when it arrives I'll be happy with that.

Thanks for the help anyway peoples.

      Cheers
