Damn! you are going all out on this truck, this is the first time I veiwed this thread. these colorados have been my favorite compact trucks since they hit the scene a few years back, nice to see someone put as much time and effort into one as you have, it looks bad ass, you also went with the best color too RED..nice job.. how about a turbo V6 in the future? when does it ever end right..

the v6 from the G8 and CTS would be alright but I'm going to drop a LS based V8 in it for the cost I get the most HP and alot of upgradablility

replacing the i5 for a v6 would be a step backwards in evolution.

wait until the end of this year and buy a factory V8 truck.

and finally your truck looks good, but paint them d*mn door handles already!!!

lol nah too much hassle to swap everything over plus the v8 rados are expensive cheaper for me to find a V8 in a yard or ebay

door handles will get painted when they get painted lol

oh and doing a 5 lug swap is easy. use yota parts. your factory rear end is either too wide for "any" aftermarket wheels (the offset is so high their rediculous) if you want any deep wheel you need to narrow your axle 4 inches!! or do like me and widen (stretch) your bed sides. and swap in a yota front end, or use yota spindles and fab some new control arms to hold them.

So, you've put 5 lug on the front of the Colorado's? I'd love to see pics. You could make a killing selling the swap parts.

swapping in yota spindles/axle is pretty straight forward, but you lose your ABS.

its easier to use the whole yota subframe. really good for doing a "stock" floor body drop, when making a new chassis.

i think its ugly as h*ll.. thats why it doesnt look like that now. the paintjob inthe picture was done for the last owner, a 65 year old lady. she recently sold me the truck for super cheap.

Those wheels will look great on there. What size tire? and are you going to leave the finish alone(I would leave it the factory silver)?

      looks great
