Hi guys not too much to report. Mike says he will try to get the body welded up this week. A while ago he offered to put the engine and trans in for me. That would save me a lot of headakes sense my garage isn't up yet.I have to wire the whole car. Will I be sorry if I have him do it then wire the car? Will it be in my way?

I picked up a deal on AAW's website in the cleearance section. I bought a DSE optima batery hold down for $120 its the polished one. They have the brushed one for $89. Its a pretty good deal. Any body who needs one should check it out.

Not too muchto report. I posted this in the fuel injection section, but my updates have been kind of thin lately. I needed to post it to get my fix.
Her's my intake and throttle body.

I got an E mail from Mike. He sent me some pictures of the car . Its getting there. He's got the quarters and roof welded up and the fire wall is on with the rockers. It looks so nice as a car intead of only as parts.
      Here we go!

      Wow I'm all gitty inside!!lol

I know I'm way ahead of myself, but I was thinking of asking Mike to save me some Siken's paint he uses under the car.Do you think it would look ok on the dash ? When I had my Z/28 in 71 the dash wasn't really to shiny.

This is not my car its a 67 Firbird from his site.

Let me know what you think.

Looks like it's going to be a great ride, when you're done.

It will 'feel' a lot different when you get a completed chassis to work on.

The flip side, is it looks like the guys at your shop are doing a nice job.

I went through 2 body shops / welders and both of them were lousy. One lied, and the other one used 3/4" of bondo, to cover their poor welding and panel alignment.

Thats one thing I never worried about. Mike is very good and very fussy. He would never let a second rate job leave his shop.

Ray I haven't stoped smilling yet.
More good news not about the car but about the garage for it.
I finally found a contractor with a pretty decent price. Told him he had the job today. Then I went to the city hall and got the building permit all in one shot. I was told it could take 2-3 weeks. The inspector stamped it while I went to the city clerk to pay for it. It took fifteen minutes for the whole deal.

Wow! Wayne now I know what it was like when the other guitar player saw Hendrix play abck in the sixties and they all wanted to give up guitar, cause he was just that good, Kind of how I feel about your car. I don't think there is a finer Camaro builder out ther from the pictures I have seen. I am sure that this build is everyone's Camaro fantasy. Can't wait to see more of it put together. Very nice job so far.
