Dash Removal
I have a 1967 camaro, and I'm putting in a new wiring harness in and i need to take the dash out. If anyone knows how, please respond. thanks

You might need to take a look at the manual assemlby for your car. Availabel at YEARONE or on Ebay. That might help..
I need to remove my dash too, I have got a manual assembly from YEARONE, it is sort of helpful..

The dash is welded into the 67 Camaro. If you take the windshield out you can drill out the spot welds. Randy

Are you referring to the dashpad or the dash??? The dashpad can be removed w/o removing the windscreen.
In any case (as far as I know and have seen so far) you don't need to take out either when you want to install the wiring harness. Or were you talking about 2 completely seperated operations???

oh ok so the dash is welded in, that makes sense cause i couldnt find any bolts holding it in. But i do need the dash pad replaced does anyone know what it takes to remove it and install a new one?

There are some nuts holding it on underneath, mainly on the pass side. Then there are horizontal retaining clips which secure it. Once all nuts are removed pull the pad towards you and up a little and it will slide out.

To remove the dashpad, you need to take the speedo/tach unit out, the center console and the glove box compartment. You can then reach the speednuts and unscrew 'm. Once unscrewed you can take the dashpad from the dash.
