      Either that, or maybe use one of those nascar style spring rubbers. It's a big chunk of rubber that goes between a coil, used to fine tune the spring rate etc. If you're only looking to raise it 1/2" or so and make it a bit stiffer, might be right up your alley.

      Another small helper is to replace all the inner fender hardware with low profile button head screws. Sometimes the minor gain in clearance makes a difference.
