Modular powered 63 Fairlane 4 door

      Hey all,

I have been working on my car and posted in the meet and greet forum a while back but I've come a long way with the car and have visited this site frequently for ideas, thoughts and answers. I figure I need to post a thread on my car (as I have running in a few other forums) here since I keep coming back and think you guys would have great insight and responses to my ideas. Plus, I post lots of pics (even my faults for others to learn from) when I do things to my cars.

      Anyways, here she is....

In the beginning 4 years ago, she was bought from a chicken farmer who stored it for an 80 year old guy who bought it new and never even took the original plastic off the rear seat. It got hit in the back passenger quarter while in his storage so he put it up for sale. Having kids and believing in family time (and the much cheaper cost of 4 doors due to big ego 2 door nutswingers) I bought the car.

Drove it on the trailer, carried it home and drove it off and into the garage. The original 2 speed 260 setup was a dog with just 75,000 original miles on it. Time for the change.

Rod and Customs front end for a Windsor base....

Got orders ( Active Air Force) back to Cheyenne for the last assignment of my career. When I got here, I changed my mind. As you'll see in these pics, I do that a lot!!! Decided to go modular. Found this donor car just down the road from me and picked it up cheap.

I had to cut up the front a bit for the 4.6 but it was worth it...

      Installed...

On to the rear. Out with the old 8" and in with the new 8.8 on a triangulated 4 link......

I planned on a bag setup with ridetech stuff and clearance everything to work. I used round stock chromoly as my mockup rear shocks. I actually drove it on them for a few miles when they repaved the road in front of my property.....

Started on the wiring. All came from the donor car. I reduced the harness drastically......
