Speak to Daniel Stern. He hooked me up with some lights for my 66' Fury. Excellent advice, good price and great service. He knows what he is on about.

TI don't think that the basic LED bulb upgrade doesn't usually get you very much. Check out Jalopnik's video for a test. I've got GE LED upgrade headlights (similar to the trucklites) and they're awesome. Picture on the bottom.

      LED 5 3/4"
There are some LED headlights made by JW Speaker fpr the 5 3/4"
      http://www.jwspeaker.com/products/le...630-evolution/
These are available with a DRL halo in them, a bit of extra safety for the daytime.

I cannot speak for the amount of light these produce, I have not seen these in person.
The specs of the effective lumens appear lower than average H4 bulbs, and less than the H4 performance bulbs, however, these are far pricier, and look like a real PITA to install into a classic car, there is a pic with dimensions, and the rear part of the bowl is huge.

Most LED lamps/bulbs are around 5,000 to 6,000 Kelvin in color, the 6,000k are a good bit into the blue range, which reduce contrast, and make most objects appear gray and blend together.
On wet roads or recently paved roads the blue light is practically useless.

      Another option: H4 Conversion headlights
You can get great results with the H4 conversion lamps as well, and save a LOT of budget.
Forget the cheap H4 headlights on e-bay, buy some quality H4 headlight housings (Bosch, Delta, Cibie, Delta) have great optics, and some Phillips X-treme or Osram Nightbreaker bulbs, and your total would be 1/2 or 1/4 less than the price of the JW Speaker setup.
The Hella H4 conversion lamps are about 100/pair, the Phillips or Osram bulbs are around $35-50/pr, an upgraded wiring harness for a 4 lamp H4 is around $35.

In no particular order, both are good vendors:

      http://www.rallylights.com/all/headlamps
AutoPal is a decent lower-cost manufacturer of H4 housings, they are about $75 for 4 lamps, but their included bulbs are nowhere near Osram or Phillips quality, you can find them on e-bay.

I guarantee you no disappointments on the H4 conversion, when you buy the glass lens/metal reflector style lamp.
Side note: The more modern 'diamond' style reflector with clear glass usually produce hotspots which make your pupil close, lessening the ability to look down-road.

The H4 bulbs come in a wide selection of bulb wattages, colors, xenon pressurized, etc. the higher wattage 80w in blue appear very close to HID in output and color, the only downside, some of the bulbs last 200 hours.
There is an Osram 80/85w for motorcycles, which should have a longer lifetime than regular H4 bulbs.
The Phillips X-treme and Osram Nightbreakers are about equivalent (JMHO), the specs are very close, I have both of these.

(both of these are great vendors, I have used them often)

      LED H4 bulbs
I recently bought some 7th generation Phillips LumiLED bulbs in H4 style, with Hi/low, the LED arrays are positioned as if they were bulb filaments, retaining the light focus as originally designed, they are in the 6,500K color range, and supposedly produce 4,000 lumens, which seems about right, based on seeing then up close in my garage.
I have not had a chance to compare the distance light these produce, the earlier video was a CREE LED, these are ZES LEDs, and are by the market leader in LEDs.

The Phillips Lumileds will run you $100-180 pair, the knockoffs on e-bay run around $60/pair.

      Decent knockoff (I bought these)
