Optima Battery Promo Real or Scam?

I got a video clip from somewhere that had an optima battery promo, if you bought a battery you got a new optima Maintainer or half off the new Optima full function charger.... I thought how cool.. so I bought the battery, went to the Optima promo page on their website, filled out the forms and submitted it. It says to wait ten days for a response...Twelve days later Nothin' so I took better pictures, made sure I answered all the questions and entered all the correct information and submitted it again... ten days later nothing. There is no contact information on the site, no way to verify anything. The last day to mail in your information via USPS was May 29, so I copied and printed all the stuff they ask for and mailed it.... but,
Is this whole thing a scam or what. Is this just wonder if the response was greater than anticipated and they just blew off folks after a certain number of entrants..... Just bummed that they have NO communication avenue available.
Has anyone received a charger from this promotion? https://optimabatteriespromotion.com

I received my maintainer in the mail yesterday. I received a confirmation email a week or two after I submitted online saying my application was approved.

No scam and patience, young grasshopper. If you PM me your purchase information, I can forward it to the optima powers-that-be and check status.

Mary, thanks for the offer to look into this, but after waiting for the 10 days to respond to my online submittal ( two times), i copied all the info and mailed it USPS... so I can wait a while longer before I take up your time... My frustration was the total lack of feedback in this new online age of doing business.
And by the way, You cost me a ton of money, after reading your article about the Church Boys Nova, I ordered the whole dang setup.... The battery offer just happened at the right time.
Thanks and I appreciate your offer.

You will not be disappointed in Church Boys product and once you get it all installed, enjoy!! I keep hoping they'll bring out a dedicated track or autox set-up Nova for the Super Chevy Shootout as driving a grocery getter that can handle like snot leaves me wanting more.

Let them know once you install everything as they may ask if you'd be interested in using your car for the Shootout. I'm easy on stuff ... trust me on this. Some people are okay with letting aftermarket companies use their cars for promo stuff while others aren't and it's your call.

Let me know if I can help with the charger.

As Mary said you will not be disappointed with your CBR products. The Church's are great to deal with and make a quality product. I've got 12K miles in just over a years time with my daily driven 64, and it's as tight as day one. Enjoy!

Still no response of any kind from the optima battery promotion. I guess they got the spike in sales they needed to make their numbers for the quarter. I would think that an outfit a big a Union Carbide could at least have an automated generated email that says thanks for buying a $200. battery sucker, or sorry we ran out of chargers, or we were just kidding.. or something. I was really looking forward to half off their 1200 charger..... OH well,

What really sucks is that offer wasn't available in Canada! And, I bought two batteries, one in April and one in May.

Hello, I noticed your conversation involving our April promotion and wanted to offer some assistance. It is definitely not a scam and we have been shipping out thousands of discounted Digital 1200s and free 400s. If you have not received an e-mail confirmation, please PM me your contact information and I can look into your situation. I can tell you that more than a few folks have not received their e-mail confirmations for a variety of reasons- most often because their e-mail provider either sends the automated response emails to a spam folder or blocks it entirely. That also includes e-mail responses when the information submitted isn't valid. The most-common such instances are when folks send us the non-unique UPC code off the top of the battery, when we need the unique serial number off the 1"x3" "Non-Spillable" label on the side of the battery.

We have a 30-day return policy on our products, so the eight to ten week timeframe helps ensure people requesting free chargers don't try to scam the promotion and return their battery for a full refund and still get a free or discounted charger. This was one of the most-expensive and complex promotions we've ever done and to even make it possible, we had to go to great lengths to keep costs in check on fulfillment. We're not shipping free chargers via FedEx with our normal 2-3 day delivery window and we didn't start shipping units until after the promotion ended. We also prefer to under-promise and over-deliver on fulfillment, than the other way around. As others have indicated, their chargers arrived well short of eight to ten weeks and that has been the norm.

The bottom line is if you have a valid proof of purchase on one of our 12-volt batteries from April 2014 and a valid mailing address in the US and sent your information in on time, we'll get you taken care of on either a discounted 1200 or free 400.

Kevin, unfortunately, the promotion was only during the month of April.

      Jim,
I just PM'd you my information. I purchased one of the 1200 chargers for use at work where we have optima batteries in everything that uses a battery. I have optima batteries in everything I own and wanted a charger at home. Half off seemed like a great deal. I have just been frustrated by the lack of communication and no way to inquire through the website. I look forward to receiving a discounted 1200 charger.
      Thanks
      John
