BBC first gen camaro header question

I know a lot of you guys are into the LS engines now but I ran across a good deal on a big ci BBC so I went with it. What I am looking for is large primary tubes and ground clearance. I have looked around on the web and found Kooks is coming out with a new set but cant find anymore details. It was something that was released at Sema this past year.
Not looking to spend big money on a set or I would just have a set custom made.
      I am running a lee's box too.
      Thanks for any leads

i bought a set of hooker comps 2" primaries, and then cut them in half and with j and u bends custom made the headers into what i needed. all you need is to tack weld them and then either you finish welding, or have someone tig them. the chevelle header tubes are pretty 'straight' and are actually easy to make what you need. i raised my collectors about 2.5 inches, they will not hit the ground anywhere.. also i removed the goofy 3 bolt flange and went to a nice slip on..

The hooker comps I am using for may 68 work well as is but I would get rid of the flange.

When you guys say slip on, so you just mean you are using a band clamp?

no my header flange slips into my exhuast tubing about 4-6 inches, no clamps, just slip fit. i have a very small leak when cold but 30 seconds or so into warming up the leak stops.
