      Stuck! Custom Cooling Hose

Ok, I thought I had this problem solved. I was going to buy a Cool Flex radiator Hose, but the company is giving me "parts awaiting" powder coating now for a few weeks now.

I work in fabircation, I know it does take that long.....

So I think I'm going to call BS and cancel my order.

I need to know what other option I have to get custom bent hose. I have an LS1 with the radiator out-let on the driver side. The LS1 OEM hose will not work because my cold air intake is in the way. Thanks,

I like going to autozone, finding some hose with the correct bends and adding one splice with stainless tubing and safety wire some clamps.

After dropping my radiator mounting 2" to do my custom engine bay cover, I got a bathroom grab handle from home depot since it's 1.5" stainless .Used parts of it between my existing hoses. Sanded & polished so no one would ever guess what they started out as.

That's exactly what I'll be doing as soon as I get the radiator installation done. I would like to find one in 1 3/4" for the bottom line...

I do have limitations...I can't weld or cut anything thick and heavy. Is there custom hose kits out there?

You should be able to find stainless pipe with bends& cut what you can use from it. The rest can be from 1 or 2 hoses.

As others have suggested get it bent up powdercoated and use rubber ends. Looks awesome. Or weld an fittings.

Can you solder? I had some odd angles to get my radiator connected to the LSx in my 68 corvette. I used copper plumbing with 90, 45, etc degree fittings at each end, painted them black. Also allows for size adapter if needed. Picked everything up at Sears hardware.

Got any custom exhaust shops near you? Have them bend you up something like your mockup and use rubber ends

Speedway has the bends and sections needed to fabricate your own, either welding or using silicone couplers.

I saw that, thought it was a little too much $$ for what it was. I ended up spending $50 on a Summit SS flexible Hose. Hopefully it works out.

I called Cool Flex today and told me they expect news at the end of next week....I canceled my order.

I have a feeling he collects orders and send in mass quanties to save $$. I don't blame him, but I'm sick of waiting months for parts I need now.
