Sequential LED's for Cutlass, why doesn't anyone make them?

Just wondering why there are a dozen kits out there for the Mustang and Camaro, but nothing for the Cutlass? I know I could probably adapt a kit to work, but I would like to see a bolt-in, affordable LED kit for the Cutlass' models. I spent some time looking over the last few months, off and on, and haven't found anything for them yet. Seems that once you make a kit for the Mustang or Camaro, adapting the design to work in the A-bodies wouldn't be a far stretch.

I am looking into this for my firebird. If I'm remembering correct there needs to be at least 3 tail light per side to make it work. If I can find the link ill share it with ya.

Connect with spaghetti engineering (Digi-Tails). They have begun building them for arguably the smallest, and cheapest, automotive market on the planet, Mopar, and I picked up a set for my A-body. Speak with them personally and see what they'll do.

Sparky, your Olds and my Pontiac are not popular enough to get them yet. I still have to touch base with you about your bezel (sorry, things have been busy)

I emailed a few times and used their online contact us link, and never got any response. Actually, same thing with about 4 or 5 other companies I contacted.

Shame, as there really are enough of them still out there to make great money on. For the bezel, thanks, let me know what you come up with.

      Sparky,
we should match up the actual light housings on your car to mine. I've the digitails on mine, and basically all they do is screw an LED board into the housing. So all that would have to be done is to get the LED board the right size/shape to match up to your light and you're good. Probably sounds easier than it is, but it shouldn't be rocket science either.

FYI, I called them 2 weeks ago and they responded back to me very promptly. My right tail had one of the boards failing and they sent me a new one that day. Great customer service.

With LED's, you don't need "at least 3 tail lights", since LED's are small enough to be made into ROWS, on a Printed Circuit Board that can be sized to fit into your original taillight housings, and programmed for whatever sequential/non-sequential/flashing/stationary/etc. patterns you'd like, with the added benefit of not having to replace them for YEARS, unlike standard bulbs!

I like that. Plug in some LED bulbs, put in a $70 sequential module and waa-la!

I know how to set them up, and will end up going that route. The point to be made was that I found it odd that not only did no one return emails / contacts, but also that no one had a bolt in solution for the A-body Cutlass (without having to take one from a different car and hack it up).

With a typical interest of 25 inquires of a particular model, we usually pursue developing an LED tail light kit for the car in question. With the positive response to the GS/Skylark kit we recently made available we are quickly finding that the Buick and Olds market is indeed large and in need of many products that other manufactures simply overlook. Our marketing team is in discussion as to what Buick/Olds model is next for development. We are looking at all suggestions to better zone in on what Buick/Olds guys want to see out.

My advice is call Northwest Mustang / Classic LED's - Here are my thoughts. You can use (2) of his 1969 Chevelle boards per side and have them electrically tied together and route/shape them to fit inside your lens. If you use two boards you could do the sequential blinking like you desire. Talk to Larry about your application.

By the way - I want the fronts. Check out www.globaloverdrive.com
The lens shape and size is very close to that of the '69 Camaro. My LED's look great in those.

I think the only difference between 1971 and 1972 Cutlass taillights is a different lense and a seperate reflector behind the lense for 1972. But I think the housings are the same shape. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

I was thinking of making my own set for my car, but just haven't had the time to really study up and do it.
