Size: 254.1 KBI just wanted reach out and see if anyone on here has ever built one of these before. theres alot of companies out there selling kits for these cars and I wanted some perspective on them. Im thinking of doing one as a future project. Im not a big convertible guy thats why'd I prefer this to a cobra. I personally love the body lines of the Daytona, and the big all booty.

Anyone know if a modern modular engine would fit in it? Maybe a Coyote engine?

Who doesn't like a big ole booty? LOL Any idea who makes that Daytona? I can't quite make out the banner on the windshield. I really like how it looks with the flares. Andrew

yea ive looked at factory 5 ans superformance. Base kits are 14k and the full kit is 19k and you jusy need paint wheels engine, trans & rear.

And don't forget that you can still reach out to the dude that designed the original: Pete Brock.

A Brock coupe would be cool but id rather get a kit and built it myself. The Superformance cars go for about 90K, Id rather spend 20k on the kit and spend whatever I want on the engine trans and rear. I doubt itll be 70k more like the superformance cars.

I was reading online that the Brock coupes are produced in south africa, wth anybody believe in making stuff in US anymore. Its almost as bad as american muscle chassis being built in China.

It doesn't seem that the modular engines fit, most recommend small or big block Fords. The modular engine may fit but I bet it would be very tight with little room for exhaust.

I'm Pretty sure the factory five ones accept the modular engine... you just have to specify it when you order. A new coyote with ITBs... That's my vote.

theres already lil room for exhaust in the coupes, so I could only imagine how much harder it is. I know theyve put the new 5.0 in a shelby cobra without problems but the coupes engine bay is probaly smaller. i should just call factory 5 and find out myself.
