      Pro-Tour 1980

Hey everyone so i am new to the site but i have been looking around for inspiration. No shortage of that! Everyone has such great plans in the works or completed absolutely stunning cars. I stumbled onto this site while looking up info on Mary Pozzi's second gen. camaro for setup tips. She rocks fellas gotta give her props for her driving and choice of cars! Not that i am biased or anything.

That being said, thanks for the motivation. I started my car slowly before i knew this site existed so my complete car before pictures are on a hard drive of a computer that won't boot up. These are progress so far. The spot primer was/is to keep the car from rotting in the humid Florida summers.

The fenders, radiator support and other pieces are going to Prodigy Customs for stripping. Thanks NOT A TA for that heads up. I spoke with Frank on the phone and he sounds like a great guy. It will be nice to have a local gearhead shop to procure parts etc.

      Plans for the car.

Full paint job and remove side mouldings

Swap the auto for a stick

      Full suspension (Not sure which)

      Subframe connectors

      Engine compartment chassis supports

      Wheels and tires

I would like to build a Pro-Tour 1980 that gets a little respect, most of our cars are the red headed stepchildren of second gen camaro's. More to come.Name: 010.JPG

Welcome to the site. Looks like you have the makings of a good project. To keep the Smog Nazis in California happy you can do an E-Rod engine swap.

      Gen II Comp Suspension kit

Trying to get some info from anyone that has this kit on their second gen camaro. I already have their braces, solid body bushings and sub frame connectors on my list. Any feedback would be helpful!

Thanks Kevin, Love your Monte! I had a 79 Monte daily driver from 79 - 82. It met an unfortunate end when a truck failed to yield! I love the lines of those cars. I will check out your site later today.

Hey guys, sorry for being absent so long but the economy has wreaked havoc on my business and my income. I am slowly bouncing back and will post some updated pics shortly.

Hope you are still making progress and the economy has beat the crap out of a lot of us, everywhere. The good news is cleaning and prepping is low cost. Good luck with the build as I've always had a soft spot for the second gen Camaros.

Thank you. Read your build last night. Inspiring to say the least. That is the look i am going for so it is nice to have someone to refer to that is already ahead of the curve than me. My intent was to build a second gen that will get some respect. Subscribed to your build.
