      C5/LS1 Brake Caliper Bolt Seized

The bolt that goes in the pad bracket that, I guess, creates a "floating" caliper, and holds in with suction, it's completely seized in my old pad bracket. Any way I can get it out or does anyone know where I can get a replacement, single or set?

Do you mean the bolt that attaches the slider pin to the abutment bracket? The pin itself has a wrench flat on it (14mm as I recall). Use an open end wrench to keep the pin from spinning and then loosen the pin bolt with a 2 wrench operation. If you break the head of the bolt off, don't despair. Any GM dealer can supply you with a pin and a bolt for just a few bucks. Heck, that might even be an auto parts store item. kore3 also sells them.

      This bad boy:

I need everything except the actual "bolt" (with the threads).

The old one is... completely seized, I don't think it's going to be possible to get it out, I tried everything I could think of today.

That's the one I was describing to you - the slider pin. To the right above the rubber dust boot in your picture are flats that you can put an open end wrench on to keep the pin from spinning when you loosen the bolt. If that doesn't work, I'd first try a breaker bar and a 6 point socket and snap the bolt head off. If that doesn't work, an air cutoff wheel to cut the bolt head off will certainly do the trick. As I said, a new pin and bolt are inexpensive. Just be careful so as not to damage the abutment - those are about $50.

Napa sells the pins. $11/pair. Kore3 sells them, $4.50 ea.

I have new abutment brackets, I bought from Tobin. The old ones are seized. I'll get a set from him, the local Chevy dealership wants $20 a pin.
