Looking real good John. Thanks for the pics on the drip rail. Looks like I need to add another mod to my build. That 20 really fills up the rear wheel well. Not sure what you have for clearance, but have you thought about moving the wheel/tire so it's centered in the wheel well? I'm lengthening my wheelbase to 112" in order to have the rear wheels centered in the well. Just a thought, looks great. Keep up the good work.

Will I moved the axle back an inch to center the axle. Centering to the wheel well would put the axle into the gas tank though.I have about 3/4" all the way around the tire and I have 3.5" up into the well for travel.

Just got back from the deal of the century. Picked up my new heart for the scamp and I couldn't be happier.

and I just happen to have a pro-charger mounting bracket for a 5.7 hemi that I will have to dust off for this one since I saved so much on the engine.

Well got out of work early and with and block and empty cylinder heads I decided to test fit the old hemi. Bolted to the A-833OD she fits right in.

the block is missing the center bolt hole for the bellhousing BUT I don't think I have ever seen one in this hole before

I can't believe the room in front of the motor

good thing I shaved the firewall

no mounts yet might fab my own.

Well I don't have any new pictures yet but I should have some sunday when I get back over to the garage. This post is mainly just a quick update.

I am going to redefine the D.I.Y. spirit this weekend. See I'm a Father of 3 and I am on a very tight budget so when I look at the prices of parts to do the conversion of these cars I cringe. In order to prevent my wife from making me sleep on the couch I am going to be fabbing up my own motor mount adapters, oil pan, headers, and wiring harness. This process will start with the motor mounts this weekend.

Thankfully for myself this is what I have been doing for a living for the last 15 years of my life so I should be able to knock this stuff out over the next few weeks and save over $1000 that I can use on other parts(Stroker kit?)

That's awesome John. I'm fabbing motor mounts but since I'm building a full chassis, I can work my cross member around the oil pan so I'm good there. I found an inexpensive set of SRT-8 manifolds that I'll be using for headers too. Before you build a harness, you may want to scope ebay. I scored my ECM and Harness for 25% of what they are new. Just a thought. Looking forward to the pics.
