      Update 4.17.10

got the car home tuesday night and pushed it in the garage. wednsday after work i got started on tear down.

found the floor pan was in worse shape than i thought so i cut them out

found the rockers were junk on the bottom half so insted of patching them i just cut them out

also insted of replacing the toe boards with patch panels i got a whole firewall assembly

went today to dayton and picked up the new sheet metal and have the drivers rocker mocked up

      parts to install still

      both inner rockers

      floor pan

mini tubs and sub frame connectors

thats about it for now. not bad for 4 half days of work.

Dont you just love what you think is a rust free car........well isnt rust free at all? Good work so far its nice to see you arent taking the fast/easy/cheap way out and doing it right. I have no doubt this will be an awesome car when it is done. Keep up the good work!

LOL.... I know the feeling, I've been in the house 2 months now. I should have epoxied the floor before I moved in... oh well. I bought some epoxy from Griots Garage, I read a lot of good reviews on it, and I'll be going through those pains in a week or so!

back on topic.. new parts are always great!

thanks guys. i got the driver rocker done tonight and about 95% of the passenger rocker out. tomorow i'll get that all cleaned up, paint the inside to keep the rust from comming back then get the new one mocked up. if i have time i'll get it all welded in so i can start on installing the new firewall tuesday and floor wednsday. i have some rust on the frame rails i need to repair but want to wait till the floor is in so i have them lined up right. if all goes well i'm going to try and get the sub frame connectors and mini tubs done this weekend.
