      Trim studs???

Not sure what they are called. I need to replace some of the window channel studs on my 1968 Firebird. There the studs that the clips slide onto that hold the window trim on. I had to weld in a lot of new metal in my channels because of rust. I borrowed a Stinger Pro for welding in the new studs but the head of the Stinger is to big and I cannot center the stud on the channel. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

You need these. Drill small holes, put seam sealer on the threads and screw them in.

Thanks, I might give those a try if I cannot figure out this gun. It came with the studs and the tips there just isn't enough room. The run hits the lip that the glass sits on.

you need a different tip for the gun, the regular tip for the pulling nails won't work. Use this:

Just use the screws like amargari mention.
      They work good.

The kit has the correct tip for the studs. It's the grounding sleeve that is getting in the way. I will probaly go with the screw in type with some loctite.
