2010 NASCAR Challenger

Got the scoop this is what the new Nationwide Series Car may be returning too. This was the info I got from a friend that works at the NASCAR R&D Center in Charlotte.

I seriously doubt it, no matter how cool it is. NASCAR wants all the cars to be the same shape so there are no aero advantages over anyone else. I don't see how they would allow that.

Nascar has already said that the new Nationwide cars will more resemble factory cars. From the tests I've seen with the new Nationwide car, the above photo is no far off.

Maybe NASCAR's taking the "If I wanted to watch NASCAR I'd flush a bag of Skittles down the toilet and bet on which color would win." jokes to heart and realizing that brand differentiation isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Looks photoshop to me. The front end has no aerodynamics like the cars now.

What he said. They also want the same chassis used. There are also to many old Cup cars out there for the Nationwide tems to use rather than switching to something else. I have seen a Challenger nose on a nationwide car but that is all it was. Just a nose.

That's awesome! This is probably a smart move considering the more they standardize cars, the less benefit automakers see in funding into the sport. Maybe they can throw them in more road course situations and we'd be close to vintage Trans Am look!
Though I'd really rather see the actual factory cars raced out and ready.

Nationwide cars and the old style Cup car dont use the same chassis. The Nationwide car has a shorter wheelbase. ARCA uses the old style Cup car.

The plan is for the COT and the Nationwide COT to use the same chassis. As of right now Ford and Dodge are in on the Nationwide COT with the Mustand and the Challenger. Chevy has refused saying they have worked too hard on the Camaro's styling to have NASCAR ugly it up.

It is photoshopped. Rumor is/was that Ford was looking to run the Mustang.

Exactly why I don't bother following NASCAR. Priceless! Never heard that one before! I'll have to use that next time someone brings up this joke of a "sport".

how can it be aero-dynamic with the recessed front end, that pos wil catch more air than a handglider. too bad that mopar made the challenger such a terd, it looks great, but no-power
