      86 T-Bird Rack Fittings

Are the pressure and return fittings english or metric? I have 14 and 16 mm straight threaded o-ring ps fittings - they seem to start ok by hand but I don't think they seat far enough. Don't wan't to put a wrench to them until I'm sure of thread type. Thanks. -Bob

If they're like the Mustang rack, and I suspect they are, it would be 5/8"-18 and 9/16-18 thread.

Thanks Matt - starting to think that myself - don't recall when the move to metric was but that might be a little early.

And like the MII I'm guessing the pressure fitting is the lower, smaller one? -Bob

      Hmm, update - Earl's fittings for PS are only 1/2 x 20 inverted (991946ERL) and 5/8 x 18 inverted (991947ERL) - am I missing a fitting here?

1/2"? It's possible. I've never used that rack. Also, I wouldn't know which one is the pressure port...
