      69 Mustang Pro-touring suspension question

Hey all. I am building a 69 Mach I and I am at the point of purchasing my suspension. Since this is a pro touring application, what set-up should I go with? I am considering at TCI IFS front suspension and a TCI 3 link, torque arm rear. Is this the right way to go? Thoughts? Thanks.

total control front suspension, or build your own. and a 3-link in the back

the MII takes all the strength out of the front end while adding a lot of weight. also the geometry of an MII isn't the best for pro-touring.

the TCI is a torque arm 3link. i personally like the geometry of a 3link with two lower parrallel bars and a single upper bar center over the diff.

check out my blog for pics of my front suspension i built. its similiar to TCP.

also in the rear a canted 4bar from TCP is a decent choice, however with dramatic ride height changes it can lead to bind issues. but it can perform very well and its a bolt in.

For the front I like the Fatman FAB's latemodel mustang kit. You get the steering , and brakes from a late 90s stang.

With the normal disclaimer of personal bias, I may suggest taking a look at the ShockWave/AirBar system. I have a 69 Mustang as well and have had great results with the combination. http://www.ridetech.com/catalog/Ford...70-2447-1.html

There is also some video of this system in action - http://www.ridetechtv.com/featured_l...php?reset=true

The air ride system is one of my considerations. Since the price tag is in the upper end (for front, rear and compressor/control system plus an additional rack and pinion system), I was uncertain if that was the best route to go. As far looks and functionality goes, I love the air bar system. I'm just not sure I can go that route within budget. The TCI IFS front with rack and pinion and 3 link torque arm rear is in the neighborhood of $3500. It looks like the air ride system plus steering is close to double the price.
